SANA’A, April 17 (Saba)- Ambassadors of Fence, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Czech and Netherlands affirmed support of their countries to insert the name of Socotra archipelago in the World Heritage List.
During their visit to the archipelago along with the Minister of Water and Environment, the European diplomats expressed their admiration of the unique nature of the archipelago and its environmental diversity.
According to the two-day visit program for the archipelago, the diplomats would inspect several projects and programs funded by the European commission.
International Center for Monitoring Environment has listed Socotra among 12 rich world archipelagoes and islands with a diversity of plants.
