SOCOTRA, April 09 (Saba)- Head of Tourism Department in the Socotra archipelago Mubark Amer said on Wednesday that a decision would be issued to all tourist agencies not to exercise any fishing activities in the waters of the archipelago.
Amer said that the department would ask the tourist agencies to tell all foreign and local tourists not to fish randomly in the waters of the Socotra archipelago only after consulting with the department.
He pointed that the numbers of foreign tourists who arrived in Socotra in the last three months of 2008 had increased remarkably.
